Base launches Flashblocks to reduce effective block time from 2 seconds to 200 milliseconds
Odaily News According to official news, Flashblocks has been launched on the Base network, increasing the networks base speed by 10 times. Flashblocks reduces the effective block time from 2 seconds to 200 milliseconds, making the Base network the fastest EVM chain currently.
This upgrade may prepare the infrastructure for the launch of Base App. According to previous news, Coinbase launched Base App and upgraded Coinbase Wallet to an integrated social and trading platform. The new application integrates wallet, trading, and payment functions, while integrating social media, instant messaging, and mini-program support, all running on its self-developed Ethereum second-layer network Base.
