Bit2Me obtains authorization for tokenized stock exchange in Spain
Bit2Me has received authorization from the CNMV for its subsidiary, Bit2Me STX, to operate a tokenized stock exchange in Spain. The platform will allow the issuance, trading, custody, and settlement of shares, and will begin operations in December 2026. The company describes its platform as a regulated infrastructure for managing security tokens, which represent traditional financial instruments such as stocks and bonds. Bit2Me STX will be able to manage financial instruments and act as the responsible entity for registration and record-keeping, under the supervision of the CNMV. The system will operate 24/7, using smart contracts to achieve instant settlement. An external custodian will ensure the financial link through the tokenization of deposits in euros. The initial offering will include a tokenized corporate bond of 1 million euros in collaboration with Valorix, scheduled for December 2026. In 2027, new issuances of shares, bonds, and funds are planned, subject to the approval of an internal committee.
