Bitquery Co-founder Accused of Embezzling $5 Million and Deleting Evidence

Dionysios "Dean" Karakitsos is accused of embezzling over $5 million from Bitquery Inc. and deleting 194 expense records before his departure. A related lawsuit has been filed in the Manhattan Supreme Court. Karakitsos, a co-founder of Bitquery, previously served as CEO, director, and CFO, and is alleged to have transferred company funds into personal accounts. Bitquery filed the lawsuit in June, seeking the return of at least $5 million and additional damages to cover legal fees.
