Cognition Acquires AI Coding Security Company Corridor
On October 28, AI coding security company Corridor announced that it will join Cognition, advancing Devin Security into a new phase. Cognition subsequently confirmed the acquisition of Corridor. Founded about two years ago, Corridor is dedicated to accelerating secure and autonomous software development and has become a security layer for AI-native teams. Corridor co-founders Jack Cable and Ashwin Ramaswami stated that they will collaborate with Cognition President Russell Kaplan, Chief Security Officer Alex Stamos, and Chief Technology Officer Steven Hao. The two mentioned that their experience in discovering and fixing vulnerabilities in critical systems indicates that AI agents can execute end-to-end attack chains, necessitating new tools for defenders. Corridor completed a $5.4 million seed funding round in August 2025 and a $25 million Series A funding round in March 2026, with a valuation of $200 million. Investors include Conviction, Timeless, Lux Capital, Datadog, and SV Angel. Its products aim to embed security controls during the AI code generation process rather than remedying them afterward.
