NBA Partners with Kalshi and Polymarket for Prediction Market Agreement

The NBA has reached a partnership agreement with Kalshi and Polymarket, becoming the league's preferred prediction market trading platforms. The two companies will be able to use official league data to settle markets and will run advertisements during game broadcasts, utilizing league and team branding. The NBA retains the right to approve NBA-related markets provided by the two companies. Kalshi and Polymarket will assist the NBA in identifying suspicious trades, preventing insider trading, and sharing data with the league. The NBA has signed a memorandum of understanding with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission regarding matters related to the NBA prediction market. Additionally, the NBA will expand its partnership with DraftKings to include prediction markets and expects to establish similar collaborations with FanDuel, Fanatics, and others. NBA players, teams, and league staff are prohibited from trading on prediction markets.
