Netflix Announces New Season of The Watcher After 4 Years, 79.6 Million Views

Netflix will renew the miniseries The Watcher, created by Ryan Murphy, following its initial success of 79.6 million views in three months. The series, which had over 22.5 million views in just four days, had been on hold due to the writers' strike in Hollywood. The lead actress, Naomi Watts, had expressed doubts about the return of the production. However, it has been confirmed that filming for the new installment will begin at the end of this year. The plot of the first season concluded with the marriage of Dean and Nora, leaving open the possibility of continuing with the same characters or creating an anthology series with new stories. The new episodes are expected to arrive between 2027 and 2028, while the first season remains available in Netflix's catalog.
