On-chain perpetual contract DEX trading volume share rises to 12.33%

The share of on-chain perpetual contract DEX in the global perpetual contract trading volume has increased from 0.11% in January 2023 to 12.33% in September 2026. The rapid growth of on-chain RWA perpetual contracts covers traditional assets such as stocks, commodities, and Pre-IPO, with the monthly trading volume in July 2026 reaching approximately 1.475 trillion yuan, accounting for 19.6% of the on-chain perpetual contract trading volume for that month. As of September 24, the total open contracts for Perp DEX are approximately 146.4 billion yuan, with Hyperliquid accounting for about 83.2 billion yuan (56.8%), Aster for 9.7%, and Variational for 6.2%.
