Lord XRP (@Bitforcoinz), a well-known figure in the cryptocurrency community, shared a clip from a Coindesk interview featuring Ripple CTO David Schwartz. The interview at the Ondo Summit highlighted Schwartz’s perspective on the current state and trajectory of blockchain adoption, particularly regarding the role of institutional and retail engagement.Schwartz asserted that institutional adoption is underway and essential to driving broader use of blockchain technologies. He suggested that the industry is approaching a turning point, stating, “We really are on the cusp of a mass institutional adoption.”ALWAYS NICE TO LISTEN TO DAVID SCHWARTZ THE CTO OF #RIPPLE. HE SPEAKS VERY CLEAR WORDS BASED ON FACTS WITHOUT EMOTIONAL OPINION. #XRP WILL PLAY A KEY ROLE IN OUR NEW FINANCINAL SYSTEM pic.twitter.com/CXjhG09qr4— Lord XRP (@Bitforcoinz) May 6, 2025Institutions as the Foundation for Broader AccessContrary to earlier expectations in the crypto space that retail adoption would lead the charge, Schwartz argued that institutions must come first. He positioned institutional involvement as a necessary step, describing it as a “precursor” to mass retail usage. His reasoning centers on the importance of integrating with existing systems.“You have to go to where the value is,” Schwartz explained. He emphasized that the global financial system, where the majority of monetary value currently resides, cannot be ignored. According to him, it is unrealistic to expect people to abandon a system that holds trillions of dollars in favor of an isolated alternative. This view reinforces the necessity of institutional connectivity. In Schwartz’s view, integrating blockchain technologies with the traditional financial infrastructure will ultimately support the goals many in the industry share, such as expanding financial access.“We all want to bank the unbanked,” he said, but added that true inclusion requires real-world utility. Individuals must be able to use digital assets to pay bills and purchase necessities. This requires established connections with mainstream financial institutions. We are on twitter, follow us to connect with us :- @TimesTabloid1— TimesTabloid (@TimesTabloid1) July 15, 2023This is where XRP comes in. Experts agree that XRP is an attractive asset to institutions, and it can achieve these goals with speed and significantly lower costs than legacy systems. Ripple is already building a vast network of partnerships, and XRP’s advantages make it the ideal asset to fill this gap.A Positive Outlook for the Crypto MarketSchwartz’s comments reflect a strong confidence in the industry’s current direction. He did not identify any significant barriers to this next stage of growth. Referring to the Ondo Summit, he remarked, “I don’t think there are any obstacles. I think this conference shows that.”The interview drew positive reactions from supporters who believe XRP will play a central role in the evolving financial system. Ripple no longer has to worry about legal or regulatory barriers. Now that the company can sell XRP to institutional investors, the asset could see increased mainstream use in the coming months.Disclaimer: This content is meant to inform and should not be considered financial advice.
