Four years ago, Ronin was established as a separate Ethereum sidechain to meet the need for a faster and more efficient network for Axie Infinity, as Ethereum's scalability roadmap was still in its early stages. Now, with Ethereum's improvement, transaction costs and speed are better than ever. Ronin aims to become Ethereum's gaming engine and will evolve into a full-featured L2 integrated with Ethereum next year.
