The Start of Alt Season in 2026 with 4 Possible Scenarios
Market analysts believe that altcoins are at a critical juncture and that the alt season will begin with the realization of one of the following scenarios: 1. Ethereum's Historic Breakout Against Bitcoin: The ETH/BTC pair is testing the resistance at 0.028, and whenever Ethereum gains strength against Bitcoin, a significant altcoin rally has begun. 2. Decreasing Inflation and Monetary Policies: A recent report indicates the largest drop in core inflation in four years, reducing expectations for interest rate hikes and creating a more flexible monetary environment favorable to riskier assets, including altcoins. 3. Increase in Global Liquidity: If the dollar weakens, more liquidity will flow into financial markets, which has been a precursor to the strength of cryptocurrencies in previous cycles. 4. Catching Up of Altcoins: While Bitcoin has risen 660% from its 2022 lows, many altcoins still have a long way to go to reach their peaks. A 23% increase in the ratio of altcoins to Bitcoin since December and similar technical patterns of Ethereum in other altcoins are positive signs of the market's readiness for an alt season. Experts believe that Ethereum's performance against Bitcoin will be the main determinant for the market's entry into a real alt season.
