Trezor Warns Customers About Implant in Trezor Safe 5
Trezor has warned customers who purchased a device from the seller CryptoBilis since March 2026 to move their cryptocurrencies to a new wallet. This warning follows a report of a hidden implant in the Trezor Safe 5 model. The implant was reported by a customer from Indonesia on October 28, who bought the wallet in August. According to his description, there is an additional board with a mobile module and antenna between the main board and the display, which reads the screen display and sends data via the mobile network. Trezor currently does not have the device in its laboratory but considers the report credible. No buyer from CryptoBilis has reported any loss of funds so far. Trezor removed CryptoBilis from its network of sellers on October 9. If you purchased a Trezor from CryptoBilis, create a new wallet and transfer your funds. Do not enter the old phrase into any device. Trezor will send affected customers a new wallet after contacting support.
