China's CAICT Report: Daily Token Consumption in June 2026 Estimated at 500 Trillion

The "Performance Monitoring Report on Large Model Token Services (2026)" released by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) and other institutions shows that the average daily consumption of tokens in China is estimated to be around 500 trillion in June 2026, nearly four times that of December 2025. The report is based on data monitoring from January to August 2026 and compares the performance of models from original manufacturers and third-party platforms (including DeepSeek, Qwen, GLM, and Kimi). The data indicates that the average TPS (tokens per second) of various models in China reached 78.23 in August, doubling from the average of 38.25 in 2025, but still lower than the typical foreign models' 112.82. In terms of service pricing, the normalized average price of domestic model services has risen to 13.46 yuan since 2026, nearly doubling, but still far below the foreign average of 117.8 yuan.
