Revolut Obtains Crypto License in Gibraltar
Fintech company Revolut has received a Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) service provider license in Gibraltar for its subsidiary, Revolut Global Digital Assets Limited. The license covers three areas of cryptocurrency operations: executing trading orders, storing clients' digital assets, and staking. The company will be able to execute orders for buying and selling digital assets, provide cryptocurrency storage services for clients, and allow users to stake supported crypto assets to participate in blockchain network operations. The license establishes a regulatory framework for providing these services, but availability will depend on the user's country of residence. Currently, Revolut Global Digital Assets Limited is not listed in the public register of licensed DLT providers maintained by the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission (GFSC), so information about the license acquisition could not be confirmed.
