What Happened Today in the Crypto Market? A Review of the Most Important Cryptocurrency News (November 6, 2026)
Global markets and the cryptocurrency industry are facing a series of significant events in monetary policy, regulations, Bitcoin, and blockchain technology on Wednesday, November 6, 2026. Here are the most important developments of the day.
Federal Reserve; Votes Under Scrutiny
The Federal Reserve is expected to keep interest rates steady in the range of 3.75% to 4%. However, the number of members likely advocating for a rate hike is significant; opposition from three or more members could increase the likelihood of a more contractionary policy in the coming months. The yield on 10-year U.S. Treasuries is also around 5%, and the market is awaiting comments from Coin Varash regarding inflation and rising energy prices.
China Injects $25 Billion into the Stock Market
Chinese state entities are likely to have purchased around 170 billion yuan, equivalent to $25.5 billion, in stocks in October to support the market. The CSI 300 index rose by 0.9% on Wednesday, but analysts have warned that without improvements in corporate profits and domestic demand, government purchases alone are insufficient to create a sustainable upward trend.
U.S. Treasury Seeking New Path for Crypto
Scott Basset, the U.S. Treasury Secretary, has spoken about closer collaboration between the Treasury Department and the SEC and CFTC following the halt of the CLARITY bill's progress. He also views dollar-pegged stablecoins as a tool to strengthen the global position of the dollar and increase demand for U.S. Treasury securities.
Bitcoin Treasury Crisis at Datavault AI
Datavault AI has announced that it has been unable to withdraw approximately 817.6 Bitcoin from the Biconomy exchange since June. The value of this asset is estimated to be over $65 million, and the company's stock has fallen by more than 50% following the news. There is currently no evidence of missing Bitcoins, but their inaccessibility has raised concerns about corporate treasury management.
Google Enters Crypto Custody Security
Google is unveiling a new multi-party computation system to protect institutions' digital assets. This technology divides the private key across multiple separate environments so that possessing one part is insufficient for asset theft. This product is currently in private testing, with commercial release planned for early 2027.
Bitcoin Miners Enter AI Market
The value of AI and powerful processing contracts for public Bitcoin mining companies has surpassed $70 billion. Miners are attempting to provide electricity and infrastructure from their facilities to AI companies, although converting a mining farm into an AI data center requires different cooling equipment, networks, and infrastructure.
Half a Billion Dollars in Bitcoin Transferred to Coinbase Prime
Three anonymous whales transferred a total of 6,168 Bitcoin worth approximately $498.5 million to Coinbase Prime. This transfer may raise the possibility of selling, but due to the institutional nature of the platform, it may have been done solely for custody or portfolio management.
Data Breach at Several Financial and Crypto Companies
Coinbase, Bithumb, and several financial companies have reported separate security incidents. In one of the largest cases, information on 38,490 customers of Daishin Securities was leaked, and experts have warned about an increased risk of phishing, SIM swapping, and social engineering.
Pressure on Solana; PEPE Surges Again
Solana ETF funds recorded a capital outflow of $19.16 million on Tuesday; the highest daily figure in about 11 months. In contrast, PEPE rose by over 9%; simultaneously, Arkham reported that wallets associated with Justin Sun hold about $51 million in PEPE, although ownership of all these addresses is not confirmed.
Arc Network Surpasses One Billion Dollars
The Arc network, owned by Circle, has surpassed one billion USDC just about six weeks after its launch. However, about 73% of this liquidity is concentrated in four large wallets; thus, the actual usage rate by users and the number of transactions will be a more important metric for assessing the long-term success of this network.
